The Silver Ward
Synopsis
After a daring escape from Sanatorium Valerius, Maren and Silas take refuge in the sooty, toxic fog of the Capital. But freedom is a fragile illusion. Silas has lost his thermal anomaly during the escape — his temperature has stabilized at a frigid human baseline of 36°C — while Maren fights against the advanced petrification of her left arm, desperately trying to hide it with lead paint. Hunted by the Cartel's thermal drones and the Wardens, the two navigate the industrial labyrinths of the Rust District with the help of decrypter Janos. When they finally crack the register stolen from Valerius, the truth is chilling: the Cartel does not cure the sick. It deports them to the Silver Ward — a fortress-refinery called Kresna — where people are literally "harvested" to extract silver marrow and manufacture cryogenic weapons.

1Who It's For (Precise Target)
For readers who crave high-tension dystopian thrillers with medical and scientific elements, fans of survival stories with mutual dependency dynamics.
2What Makes It Unique (The Distinctive Element)
The system overturned: the cure as institutional lie. Kresna as a metaphor for the power extraction machine. Silas's lost abilities as a metaphor for vulnerability and mutual dependency transformed into strength.
3The "Heart" of the Book (What It Leaves You)
Survival at great cost: the two protagonists discover the true horror of the system they thought they understood, while their connection deepens into something more complex than mere survival.
4Style and Tone (Managing Expectations)
Clinical, sensorial prose with a tighter pace. The toxic urban environment replaces the sanatorium's frost. The narrative expands toward the outside world while maintaining the same visceral brutality.
